PRIVATE, KEEP OUT
Those crowds you usually bump elbows with on vacation are nowhere near. You are renting the original homestead cabin and access to the 3,000-acre private ranch. The original ranch owners live near the cabin, you will see the occasional cowboy or rancher, and of course, we will swing by from time to time to check on you. Other than that, it's all you!
MONTANA CABIN
Relaxation and comfort is a must for all vacations. The 100-year-old hand-hewn cabin (check out the picture dated 1907) has been restored to add cozy comfort to your getaway.
LEFT FOOT, RIGHT FOOT
Hikers, I'm guessing after finally finding time to get lost in nature, you are sick of being greeted on the path by a few hundred strangers. Explore 3,000 acres of the private ranch by foot. There is inspiration to be found around each corner; rather than another hiker. For you hard-core enthusiasts, continue your trek onto the adjacent public forest service land. We provide maps and a backpack; bring a good pair of shoes.
THERE'S GOLD IN THEM THAR HILLS
Try your hand at gold panning! You've always wanted to try it but didn't know how to start. We provide gold pans, shovels, and 5-gallon buckets. We will even offer a suggestion or two to set you on the prospector's path. Fair warning, we have found some gold in the area, but nothing jaw-dropping; it's more about the fun of trying something new.
LET'S GET WILD
Now, who doesn't get a thrill from glimpsing something wild? I'm talking the variety of wild you have probably never seen...grizzly bears, elk, whitetail deer, mule deer, moose, wolves - the list goes on from there! Let's not forget the wildflowers. They deserve a shout out. And I KNOW how wild you birdwatchers are. You could spend a whole week being awed by our avian abundance. The diversity of species makes this location the perfect spot for practicing your calling technique. Be wild with us.
WHAT'S THAT SMELL?
Enjoy FISHING but find it a hassle to pack the gear? We have the poles and equipment for you to explore the many fishing holes along the creek where you can catch little brook trout. Venture off the property to enjoy Montana's lakes, rivers, and secluded spots.
